Improvements

I love working with the weekly objectives, however it would be really helpful if I could easily nest these weekly objectives in either larger monthly and/or yearly objectives. This would definitely help to 'operationalize'' my daily tasks even more, but still have them connected to the bigger picture and larger achievements. Currently I need to have ''weekly objectives'' that I know already now I will not be able to deliver in this week as they stretch out over months or years. With this potential nesting structure in place, ''weekly objectives'' can really become feasible to deliver within the week it is planned for. A simple dropdown in the side menu where you can change time perspective (week, month, year) would be enough.

Separate out time planned for the task today from the total time for the task to be done. As it is, when I timebox the task to the calendar, it changes the time planned for the task. Almost all of my tasks are multi day tasks. Ususally I plan my subtasks so that I can get a subtask done in one sitting or one day, but since I can't timebox particular subtasks yet, this would be a great workaround. It could be expanded to show how many more days of working that planned time it will take to complete the task, which would be wonderful for helping with time budgeting.

Sometimes I add a task, and then need to create a new channel for the task after already having filled out some of the details. After adding the new channel, my only option is to "Return to Workspace", but then the details I started to add to the task are not saved. Would be nice if I could return to the workspace, but the fields I had already completed persisted

Please add a feature to hold CTRL and drag tasks so that they duplicate as one presses CTRL + Clicks, drags and drops.

Please add a feature that allows the user to create a preset day with a collection of various tasks so they can easily apply this to a blank day. But Treat it as a "Group of Tasks" Rather than a "Daily Preset" as you would like the user to be able to put this group into existing days as well and not overwrite a previously planned day.

I often break a project into subtasks... the project might be 17 hours, but the subtasks 1, 2, or 3 hours. As it is, if I calendar the project... Sunsama tries to put 17 consecutive hours on my calendar... it's just not workable, so I don't use it. But I'd like to. I might propose that, in subtask view, hovering over a subtask and typing "x" could calendar that portion of the project... thx as always

In strategy consulting, we are trained to always use Stacked Bar charts for breaking up percentages. Why? Because then you can compare when you decide to add / remove time series. They can be compared over days, weeks, months, you can compare across two different subgroups. Instead, it seems everyone in Silicon Valley likes to put pie charts in a presentation because they're round and design friendly. But I already basically know how I spent yesterday. What I want is to know how yesterday compared with previous days, how this week is tracking compared to previous weeks. In summary, pie charts are strictly worse than stacked bar charts and should be replaced across the app.

I have a 9-5 day job, and all those tasks live in one category. I also have a ton of other work I track in Sunsama, that live in other categories - namely, one for my side business and one for all other life admin/care tasks. I would love for time estimates to show on my calendar in a way that gives me a "second shift" - showing how all my day job tasks fit before my 5 or 6pm work shutdown time, and then showing how all my other tasks fit into the evenings.

The backlog folders are very helpful for tracking subtasks to keep things moving. The folders have specific names, but the subtasks are generic. It would be nice if the subtask referenced back to the folder it came from. My initial entry didn't include the project name from the backlog folder, so when it's in my daily list, I have to go back to edit which project it came from.
