Improvements

I use an app that schedules digital co-working sessions - so throughout the day one or more of these 'meetings' show on my Google Calendar and push back everything else in the plan. I have to manually hit the 'x' icon that lets other tasks schedule over them, which I appreciate having. What would be awesome is being able to set up my own filter such as, any event with the term [XYZ] automatically has the Non-Blocking event type. Thanks for considering!

I'd like to be able to visually view task dependencies

If the backlog column were on the left side next to the channel list, it would visually be much easier to jump back and forth between channels and see the associated tasks, and easier to enter several tasks in different channels. The visual i have in mind is basically the todoist interface.

I want to be able to also plan or shut down "my personal day" which is different than my workday. This might include shutdown functionality that's different than the usual shutdown, journaling, gratitude, reviewing just my personal tasks, etc.

I am enjoying the new Backlog, but in my use case, there are some features missing that would make it even better. I use my backlog as essentially my inbox of all work. I add all the tasks from my connected apps into the backlog and then use the backlog to plan my days. This is preferred from my workflow because I have multiple accounts in each connected app and sometimes it's very difficult to accurately plan my day based on what actually needs to happen when because I am forced to toggle between the different accounts constantly, so planning the day is a chore. This is where the Backlog comes in, because I can see everything all at once and triage from there. However, the inability to filter by due date and only by either channel or priority is limiting. I would also love to be able to set sort critieria so I can avoid endless scrolling. And if I could sort by meta data like when a task was added, last edited etc. would be awesome too! I am not arguing for eliminating the groupings by default, as I like them! However, these filter and sort options within the groups would be awesome. Also, the ability to mass edit tasks when you select on multiples, such as moving tasks to a different grouping, etc. would be such a timesaver.

Please add the ability to add mind maps and correlate tasks to those mind maps, and be able to add images like mood boards.

I dont like that a medium to long task (or even short sometimes) gets slotted in like 5 min windows between meetings, I would like a setting that clearly allows me to set a minimum time for splitting. So if I have a planned 1.5 hr task, I can set minimun 15 min (or 30 min) so that when it splits it up, it wont slot it into a 5 min slot somewhere randomly as part of the split.

I have a weird sleeping pattern, and also work with people in different timezone which means I end up starting my day at times when sunsama assumes it would be time for wrapping the day up or vice-a-versa - how do I tweak start and end of time timings?

I use Sunsama for tracking my hours each day in addition to more typical planning functions. Each day, I generally drag my tasks around manually so they are in the order that I expect to do them. Then later (sometimes a couple days later when I've been busy) I go back to fill in my notes of what I did that day. I have a lot of interruptions and unpredictability in my schedule, so the best way (for me) to remember what I did a day or two ago, is to see my tasks and meetings from that day in chronological order (basically the way I left them when I made my plan for the day) and this helps me spot the gaps when I know I was working that I need to remember what I was doing so I can fill it in. In current operation, when I check a task as done, it moves. Often I may not check them off in chronological (or reverse chronological) order and calendar items automatically check themselves off. the result is that I end up with a jumble of completed tasks at the bottom that are not in any sort of chronological order. It would be great to have an option that would let me keep the tasks in their original order when I check them off rather than moving them to the bottom. Similarly, the automatic sweeping of incomplete tasks to the next day can also be confusing, especially if it takes me more than the next day to get back and the tasks that may be complete but I just haven't checked them yet and find they have moved to a different day. I realize that these two requests (especially an option to turn off sweeping incomplete tasks) go against the grain of some of the intended use of the product, but it would nonetheless be very helpful for me to have these as options.
