Use Google focus time for events and tasks
Saad Malik
Events created on Google Calendar should use the new "Focus Time" https://9to5google.com/2021/10/20/google-calendar-focus-time/

Uh yes. I just started to find this feature, and it is so helpful! Especially since new meeting requests for these times will be auto-declined with friendly note. Pretty please, Team Sunsama!

Yes! I completely agree. Focus Time in Google allows you to mute Chat notifications. This would be perfect for adding Sunsama tasks. I'd much rather it show up as Focus Time than a meeting.

Related to this, I'd love a setting to "Ignore Focus Times" when adding tasks to my calendar. That way I can create a Focus Time in Google Calendar and stack my tasks within that. Right now that's not possible since Google Calendar's Focus Times are set to "Busy" for availability (and you're not able to change that), which results in Sunsama rescheduling my tasks for another time.

In addition to helping visually distinguish between tasks and meetings on Google Calendar, this would also allow me to use Calendar's new "Time Insights" features in concert with Sunsama (which would be nice).

Vouch! I've always used Focus Time when planning my to-do's on Google Agenda - so that my coworkers can see that I am focussing at that moment (and should not disturb me =) )
I think what would be great is some sort of setting in Sunsama which would allow changing the default planned event to 'Focus Time' instead of 'Event' in G Agenda.

Would definitely love to see this added as a per-channel/calendar option.

This would be really useful!
