More Due Date / deadline functionality

I really like that we can add due dates because I am bad with remembering mine, but there doesn't seem to be much to help keep up with them.
It'd be more helpful if there was a lasting visual reminder in both the task list and the calendar of upcoming due dates of uncompleted tasks.
It would be even better if, when a due date is selected, we were immediately given the option to pick all the dates leading up to the due date that the task will show up on for future planning.
Without any options like these the due dates don't really get to serve much of a purpose planning-wise

I agree. I think sometimes I need that reminder or nudge to prioritise something with a deadline. It could be something as simple as a little badge on a task that says "Has deadline", "Deadline this week", or "Deadline today" for example. Just something to catch my eye when I'm planning my day.

Right now, if I set a deadline in backlog and don't schedule it anywhere, it just languishes out in space until I realize I've already missed it. Would be great to have some sort of ping or reminder to schedule or show up on calendar to show that it's there.

I was just going through my backlog and noticed I had a task with a due date that is long passed. It got buried in the backlog. It really seems like the due dates have no purpose.

You must have been listening in on our last discussion about the backlog. This is a known limitation right now and hopefully something we can address. Still in the early discussion phase but it is something we are starting to think about. Thanks for your insight.
