In the current format, I find it difficult to understand which of my tasks are included in the currrent sprint that my team is working on.
I would love the ability to view only tasks in my active sprint.

You can now add a custom JQL Expression in order to find tasks that are in the current sprint and open. Here's a JQL Expression you can use:
assignee = currentUser() AND sprint in openSprints() and sprint not in futureSprints() and resolution = Unresolved order by updated DESC
