It's now possible to control the ordering of recurring tasks via the "Roughly at:" field.
You can tell Sunsama approximately when you like to do a certain task so that it stays ordered in your list. This still gives you the flexibility to move the exact time you work on that recurring task to accommodate your day to day differences.

Also be able to hide some of the recurring tasks temporarily while planning.
I want them all to be there so I budget for time correctly, but I don't want them in my face while I plan my entire day, it's overwhelming and distracting at that point.
This could also be solved by having a multiselect option on which channels' tasks should be shown, or a "hide" certain channels' tasks temporarily.

Not being able to save the order of my recurring tasks is leading to tedious rework everyday. I have things I do daily in a certain order (i.e. time set aside for an afternoon email review) and I'd like to be able to keep it towards the bottom of my task lists - maybe the logic could be that I select another repeating
task it comes after.

Ailis G: Same!

Ailis G: same here.. some tasks we always want to be in the same time slot, repeating it should keep the time planned

Does "open" mean in progress? I'm super excited for this - I'm finding that reodering my recurring tasks, and separating them out from the things I _choose_ to do that day really is impacting my flow.

Sam Gechter: "In Progress" means In progress! Open just means its under consideration!

Ashutosh Priyadarshy: Hi Ashutosh! Are there any updates on whether this may be implemented? There are a number of recurring tasks that interrupt work flow / planning time, and this would be SO helpful.

This seems to me to be related to the idea of setting an order for recurring tasks, might be some opportunities for synergy with that request.
Ashutosh Priyadarshy
Sam Gechter: Exactly! They're really both symptoms of the same underlying problem. I'll go ahead and merge this one into the one you mentioned, Sam!

If you have a list of repeating tasks any new ones added always show up at the top of the list. It would be nice to be able to set the order of the repeating tasks or at least have it pick up the most recent order for the next day.

Shelley Ball: Thanks for clarifying Shelley, I've updated this feature request to be a bit more general purpose based on your feedback.
