Based on comments below, it seems needs around this differ. I wonder about, for now, just giving users the option to designate color task by task if the wish without having to systematize it in some way that pleases everyone? It’s a little less elegant or efficient, but then some (in their own minds) can use colors to match channel or content, some to indicate priority, and some not at all because they want a uniform screen — all available with a quick right-click. Just a thought!

First, I just want to say how much I love Sunsama. It's the first productivity tool that actually feels calm, supportive, and intuitive for my ADHD brain. I finally feel like I'm working with my executive function instead of fighting it—so thank you.
One feature I’d love to see in the future is the ability to color-code full task blocks based on their assigned channel (not just the small dot). This would make it much easier to visually scan the day and instantly understand how my time is being divided—e.g., "three work tasks, two self-care blocks," etc.
The current colored dot is helpful, but it’s easy to miss when you’re tired or overwhelmed. Being able to fill the background of a task block with the channel color (or even just add a stronger visual cue) would be a huge upgrade for folks who rely on color association to stay organized and grounded.
Thanks again for making such a thoughtful product!

YES! Please! I have my business and 2 different personal projects on here and colour coding for me just makes it so much easier vs just having the times in colour to match the hashtags.

please no. dont clutter this app.

Sam Campbell
Robin KunzI I'm sure it would be an optional addition to help those of us who are more visual and want to glance and see a quick color-coded breakdown of our day. But I'm sure it wouldn't clutter your app if you didn't choose to use it.

YES! Please incorporate this! I would also like to have color coding options for work vs personal tasks.
It would also be cool if the outline of the box corresponded to the channel code for easy access.
And if people find it too busy or distracting they can turn it off.

Color coding for me would look like: showing the priority level of things I have to work on. I do this somewhat by moving the daily list around (sometimes) and putting priorities at top.

Isn't that too confusing if it's not directly tied to channels? (since channels already have colors). Maybe it's better to have a settings to "color cards based on channels" so that there isn't "another thing to set on the channel"

Some additional colour on tasks, yes some to do with priority and some to do with assigned channel I want to be able to see at a glance task assigned to a channel and task of priority, but maybe a priority flag on tasks is the requirement for that with the flags having a selectable colour scheme

Yes I would love this. I'd love to quick glance at my dashboard and see clearlt which tasks pertains to which area of focus vs. just the colored hashtag

Brett Dashevsky EXACTLY!!!

I'd love a color coding option as well. I've got one channel for schoolwork and would like to be able to color code tasks related to a specific course. Right now I'm using the color dot emojis in my task titles, would love if this were able to be done natively somehow.
