Blocked/Waiting/Pending Task view
Mustafa Yasir
+1, I think this is especially useful for people using a lot of AI in their day to day, or devs awaiting review on PRs

A feature for follow ups
Robert Naanos
Often times tasks stall because your waiting on someone else to complete their portion. would be great if there is a Followup tag you can place on tasks and retrieve a list of all tasks that have this Followup tag. Would be great to use one of those right hand side quick icons to pull up a sidepane of all tasks that have this tag-- like how objectives from icon works.

Showing Tasks as Blocked
Cheyenne Wigley
I think it would be great if there were an easy flag or visual on the bottom of a Tasks's card (such as the little icon for Asana or when the due date shows if it's set) to click or show a visual if there's a task that is "blocked" or otherwise can't be completed.
It's nice on the card view to see if a task is held up by something else so that I don't have to open tasks and view notes. It would just be helpful to jog my memory when doing daily or weekly planning or skimming through my backlog of tasks.

Also in IT and I would LOVE this. I like to make tasks for my tickets and link to ZenDesk in the notes. I would love if we could have a pending bucket (kinda like backlog) we could schedule tasks out of when we do the daily plan or something, so those things that need to wait on a response can be easily held/pulled depending on the task status. As it is I have to make separate subtasks for client comms vs. working time.

100% in support of this. I find myself with things I have not done because I am waiting on a reply and do not have a natural way to park them for later inside sunsama itself.
Patrick Scheuerer
yes this is a regular occurrence for me as well and I don't have a good way of handling it yet in Sunsama. I just drag tasks that I'm waiting for from one day to another. That's inefficient and frustrating, because these tasks clutter the view and are distracting. Having a dedicated view in the side panel, much like backlog would be ideal for my purposes.

Would really love this too. Two thoughts about potential ways to handle it. Simple: a little button next to the checkmark, click it and it changes the task's appearance to indicate waiting, and drops it to the bottom of today's list. Robust: Be able to expand each day into a kanban board of its own, with a todo/doing/waiting/done type format.

Sam Gechter: I like your simple suggestion particularly and perhaps a tab like "Backlog" where you can see all the times marked with that status.

YES! Would love this feature to be added. I work in accounting and frequently tasks can't be "checked off" because I'm waiting on clients to upload the docs I need

"Waiting on" list
Suzanne Davenport
Frequently, I have to refer a task out to someone else for input. It would be great to have a list of those tasks in a "waiting on" category. Or to find some other way to tag them. I guess I can do this through Gmail if I use mail. But what if I use something else?
Mark Zilner
This would be a major benefit. Its difficult to manage a task. I find myself keeping a task as active until it is finished by someone else. It really bogs down the task list. It would be nice to move to a waiting on column in a Kanban format or have the ability to color code as Waiting on, priority and any other
tags.
