Having integration with Microsoft Planner would be good, so tasks assigned there could be managed here.

Hi all, following up on the "insufficient privileges" errors and missing-plan reports several of you have hit here.
We root-caused a big chunk of this: plans living outside a standard Group container — personal Teams plans, Loop-backed plans, and Microsoft Project-backed plans — were completely invisible in Sunsama's plan picker, even though you could see them fine in planner.cloud.microsoft. That was also behind a lot of the "insufficient privileges" errors people hit connecting or reconnecting. Fixed as of July 22, live for everyone now.
We reached out individually to people who'd reported this, and everyone who's gotten back to us so far says it's working.
We're not calling this fully closed... Microsoft's permission model for Planner has more edge cases than we'd like. If you're still hitting "insufficient privileges" or missing plans, reach out to us at support@sunsama.com and we'll dig in.

I am having an issue accessing any of my private groups from planner. Since I work in Finance, all of the ones I need are private. Is there a setting that needs to be updated, or has this not been implemented yet?

We'd kindly ask that anyone who gets beta access and uses the integration please share any feedback (good and bad!), improvement requests, and issues/bugs with us! This will help us get the integration polished up for public release soon.

FYI, any tasks assigned to you in Planner show up in To Do.

Brick - Assigned Tasks in To Do are handled differently and cannot be moved between projects or surfaced as part of To Do with integrations like Sunsama. They have different security structures and you will need to connect Planner as well to access

Alex Cunningham it's a bit of a strange set up, my understanding is there are 3 tools being Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner and Microsoft To Do.
Project is a Project management app, it's tasks are smart in terms of timelines and dependancies but it doesn't handle recurring tasks very well thus is best used for linear projects with a start and end point.
To Do is a stripped down tracker, in my opinion. That's where your flagged emails usually end up or if you create tasks in M365 documents (eg in a comment) etc it usually lands up in To Do. I believe To Do is going to be slowly replaced by Planner.
Planner, for me, is where everything comes together. I'd consider Planner to be the actual task management app - here you have your private and recurring tasks, with Kanban and other views, you can set up your 'Day' etc. All tasks that are assigned to you in MS Project and MS To Do show up in your Planner as tasks assigned to you.
TLDR I'm certain if you integrate planner, it will pick up all the tasks from Project and ToDo as well. I believe that's how Morgen is doing it.
PS I love this app so much but my work is deeply entrenched in MS Project and Planner, not having that integration is the only thing stopping me from moving from Morgen. All the best!

Tiffany T succinctly summarizes a (unnecessarily) complicated summary of how these all work Alex Cunningham. Saw that To Do was recently moved to Planned, I think this would make Planner part of it. If you're in the Microsoft stack, this is where things are going. I believe the tranches MS is after are To Do = personal, Planner = business, Project (which seems to be becoming "Planner Premium") = Gannt chart toting PMs. The confusing part is that To Do and Planner are joined at the hip: tasks in My Day or My Tasks in Planner are in that same place in To Do. Thus, getting tasks from To Do is getting them from Planner.
